Getting ready for the arrival of your twins, triplets or more is an exciting and sometimes stressful time. To help you out, we’ve come up with a list of items you might want to pack in your hospital bags. Because, let’s face it, you have too many other things to try and remember right now!
COVID-19 update: There may be some restrictions at your local hospital. It is worth checking with them if there are any additional things you should think about. As you and your birth partner will be in the delivery room until the baby is born it is important you bring all essential things with you (but try to remain as minimal as possible). Please bring additional snacks and drinks and also make sure you’ve got chargers and things to occupy you both during labour e.g. music and downloads to watch. *There will be very limited catering facilities available for birth partners and vending machines aren't available at this time. Many places are also encouraging the use of contactless payments where possible.
- Portable charger (to make sure your phone is charged up for photos)
- Loose change for the car park and vending machines*
- Headphones for your phone or ipod
- A book or magazine
- Some snacks for you and your birth partners
- Something to wear in labour
- First clothes for the babies
For your stay (hospital)
- A couple of t-shirts and stretchy trousers
- Toiletries bag
- Maternity pads
- Breast pads
For the babies
- Newborn nappies
- Nappy sacks
