Peer Support for Bereaved Families
Our peer-to-peer support programme provides a deeply personal and compassionate support system for those navigating the loss of a twin or multiple.
This bespoke service connects grieving families with trained peer supporters who have either experienced similar loss themselves or are medical professionals with expertise in bereavement and midwifery. We believe that when support is rooted in shared experience and understanding, it has the power to gently heal and comfort.
Thoughtful Support from Trained Volunteers
We know that trust matters—especially during times of deep emotional need. That’s why every one of our peer supporters is carefully selected, interviewed and professionally trained. They bring not only empathy but also preparation and purpose to their role, ensuring they’re equipped to provide the sensitive and specialist care each family deserves.
Our programme has been reshaped through community feedback, advanced training and the lived wisdom of those who’ve walked this path before. It’s support that meets you where you are, just when you need it most.
How It Works
Getting started is simple and personal:
- Complete our peer supporter application form.
- Our Bereavement Officer Chloe will be in touch to learn more about your experience and specific needs.
- You’ll then be thoughtfully matched with a peer supporter aligned with your journey.
Support is flexible: frequency and duration of contact will be tailored to you following your pairing. You’ll always be kept informed and supported throughout the process.
Still Deciding?
If you’re unsure whether the programme is right for you, we’re here to talk. Please reach out to Chloe, at [email protected] with any questions you may have. There’s no pressure—just understanding and the space to explore what feels best for you.
