Twins Trust’s Bereavement Support Group offers a safe space for parents to talk to someone who has sadly been through a similar experience.
You can request to join the Private Bereavement Support Facebook Group. Your posts to it do not show up in your timeline so only group members can see them. This is a very supportive community which you may find helpful to be part of.
We're also on Twitter (@TwinsTrustBSG), have a Facebook page (@TwinsTrustBSG) and an Instagram account (TwinsTrustBSG). Please note, our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages are public and aimed towards providing support for families and raising awareness. If you need help with this or have any questions about the private and public platforms, please email [email protected]
We also offer Online Support Group Meetings. The meetings are hosted by Sharon, our Senior Bereavement Support Officer, and one or two befrienders. There are usually between 8 and 12 people. These offer the opportunity for a relaxed, informal discussion where you can speak as much or as little as you want to. Everything we talk about is confidential and just between ourselves. It's normal to feel apprehensive and please don't worry about crying. For many, it's a helpful experience to be with people who understood how we're feeling. For information about how to join these meeting please email [email protected] for more details or join our private Facebook group.
Being part of this group reminds me that I am not alone in my grief and that I will always be a mummy to my boys
Important please note: To protect the Facebook group we ask all members to provide an email address and answer all of the membership questions before we can accept your request. This includes UK and non UK residents. We must be in receipt of this information before we can accept your request into the Facebook group. This can be done within the group request or by email [email protected]
I am a very new member of this group too and while I haven't posted yet, I have found it hugely comforting.
