Struggling with sleep can affect the whole family. Our sleep on-demand course gives you practical guidance to help you better understand your children's sleep, feel more confident about bedtime and start tackling common sleep challenges.

When you are caring for twins, triplets or more, sleep challenges can feel especially complex - what works for one child doesn't always work for another and sleep times can quickly become overwhelming.

Whether you are finding bedtime difficult, dealing with frequent night waking, or feeling worn down by naptime struggles, this course is designed to help you make sense of what is happening and know where to start.

Across two parts, you will explore how sleep works, what changes as children grow, and practical strategies for managing sleep challenges in families with twins, triplets or more.

The course is presented by Helen Rutherford from The Sleep Charity, a sleep specialist with experience supporting families with sleep difficulties.

Dealing with sleep challenges in twins, triplets or more

Life with twins, triplets or more can feel exhausting, especially when sleep is broken or bedtime becomes a daily struggle. Night waking, settling difficulties and overtired little ones can quickly leave the whole family feeling worn down.

Understanding what's happening with your children's sleep can make a real difference. This course helps you make sense of their sleep patterns and needs, create a calmer sleep environment and learn gentle, realistic strategies so you can feel less stressed about sleep and start building more manageable routines for your family.

98% of respondents who took a Twins Trust course would recommend it to others.

What you'll explore during the course

  • Part one - understanding sleep: how sleep deprivation affects both parents and children, what a normal sleep cycle looks like, how sleep needs change as children grow, why a good sleep environment supports better settling and sleep, sleep considerations that are more common in twins, triplets or more

  • Part two - practical sleep strategies: gentle strategies for managing common sleep challenges, applying sleep theory to real-life family situations, how to build more consistent and realistic sleep routines, case studies showing how to respond to different sleep difficulties

  • Please note: the aim of the course is to provide an overview, rather than personalised sleep solutions or one-to-one support
