Are you considering appealing the decision about which school your twins or triplets have been allocated for September?
You may wish to appeal if:
- you have not been offered school places in the school of your choice
- your circumstances have changed since you applied for school places and the allocated school is no longer appropriate
- only one from a set of multiples has been offered a school place. You can appeal for a second place or more on the grounds that the multiple siblings are excepted children. In infant schools they may exceed the 30 children class limit in order to admit excepted pupils
The appeals process can be confusing, Twins Trust has honorary consultants can help with both primary and secondary school appeals.*

*Please note that Twins Trust cannot help if the reason for your appeal is that the allocated school has poor SATS results or is ‘in special measures.’ Unfortunately, from our experience, we know this reason will not be accepted by the appeals panel. We're sorry as we acknowledge that this might be disappointing to some parents. If you do want to appeal for this reason, you may like to seek advice from ACE education.
