You are welcome to take as long as you want to do walk your route – we have a great selection of routes ready for you.  You’ll need to collect your medal and a goody bag by 4pm as after that Twins Trust staff will be packing away.

Where shall I park?

Please park in the Virginia Water car park (GU25 4QF, just off London Road, right next to the Wheatsheaf Pub).  Please arrive as early as you can, the car park will be busy.

If this car park is full by the time you get there, don’t worry, you can try and find parking on the road near the car park, or you can also use The Savill Garden car park (postcode for Savill Garden - Englefield Green, Egham TW20 0UU) and start your walk from there.

If you start from the Savill Garden car park, don’t forget to collect your goody bag at our charity base tent by the Virginia Water Pavilion.

How much is the car park?

Car parking costs are £12 for the day.  Arriving early will ensure you can make the most of your day and enjoy the Virginia Water lake area, which is part of Windsor Great Park estate.

What’s the route?

The routes have been marked on a map - we have marked a 1K, 2K, 4.5K, 7K and 10K routes - but feel free to walk the distance that is right for your and your group.
You'll be given a map on the day. There are other general signs along the lake to help you find your way.  Please note, the route will include paved and grassy areas. Please avoid areas that may not be suitable for your group, especially with a pram or buggy.  If conditions are wet on the day, some of the route may be slippery.

Do I have to walk the full route?

We want to encourage all of our families to Walk for Twins Trust so if the distance becomes too much on the day for little legs, switch to a shorter route, that is marked out on the map.
