The Beeston and Chilwell group meets on alternate Tuesdays from 9:30-11:00am. The group is free to attend. It is run by Emily and Laura. The group is part of the Nottingham Twins & Triplets Club (NTTC). For the last 40 years Nottingham Twins & Triplets Club (NTTC) has given help and support to parents and carers of twins, triplets and more. The club was founded in 1978 by a local mum and has since gone from strength to strength. It is a self help group, run on a volunteer basis by a committee of Club members, and is also a registered charity. Approximately 100 families are members, who live in Nottingham and surrounding Nottinghamshire districts and villages. Our main aim is to give moral support to parents of multiple births, both before and after their babies are born, right through to young adulthood. It is often in the first few months after the birth that help and advice is most needed. We try to provide information, social events and support to all local families of multiples. NTTC has an active online community. We have a Facebook page for members to communicate with each other and promote Club events. We also organise various other support and activities around the Nottingham area, as outlined below: Evening Meet-ups : are informal gatherings in members' homes where we may have a themed discussion or a social evening Newsletters : are produced twice a year and are packed with information, articles and details of upcoming events. They can be accessed online through the members only area of our website. Discounts : are available to club members from various retail outlets, play centres and local businesses. Baby Equipment : We support and encourage buying and selling of second hand baby equipment through our Facebook Group an other links. We also sometimes organise Nearly New Sales for members to sell unwanted clothes, toys or equipment, or find bargains. These parent-led playgroups are welcoming environments where both children and adults can play, chat and unwind, as well as seek advice and share experiences of life with multiples. The groups welcome the families and carers of multiples from birth to school age. If you’re expecting twins or more, it’s also a great time to go along before the birth to let you get some early insights into multiple parenting. Loan Service : We have 3 travel cots available for short term loan to members, free of charge. Antenatal: If requested Club representatives give more information about the Club at Ante Natal classes at the Nottingham Maternity Hospitals, or on an informal basis. Social Events : are subsidised and arranged throughout the year for the whole family – Christmas party, Pantomime/Theatre Visits, Swimming Sessions, Day Trips, Family Picnics, Soft Play, Barbecues and other social events.
