Buggies for air travel

This summer, we'll be travelling with our twins to Germany and the US,
and are looking at lightweight buggy options. Any advice on a
lightweight double vs two lightweight singles (we'll have four adults on
each trip)? Twins will be 8 - 10 months.

    Hello, I used a maclaren twin turbo which I bought secondhand to keep
    at my parents house. It is umbrella fold so easy to carry and as most
    airlines let you take them to the gate it was easy to collapse etc when
    passing through security. Another bonus with umbrella fold was that it
    took up much less room in the boot of our hire car than our normal buggy
    - especially as our hire car was smaller than my normal car. A little
    tip I learnt was to stuff the pockets/storage with nappies/wipes etc as
    a bit of bonus luggage! Have a great time!

    I had a BabyJogger and switched to Joie Air twin. It’s very light and
    easy to open/fold with one hand. Pretty compact, the only negative is
    it’s a bumpy ride in comparison as the wheels are solid.
