Poo accidents
My nearly 3 year old boy (3 next month) started potty training in July
and has done amazingly well. However, he can’t seem to tell he’s having
a poo until it’s already coming out! So he’s going through many pairs of
pants each day (as he quite often has little wee dribbles as well). I
think he gets so engrossed in whatever he’s doing he just doesn’t listen
to his body. In December he and his twin sister are starting with a
childminder. She doesn’t believe pull ups are sensible if you’ve made
the change to pants as she feels it confuses them and I respect that and
understand her logic. But as she has several children in her care, her
policy is that if they have a poo accident, the pants just go in the
bin! We’re trying to get him trained by December but he’s not making any
progress at the moment (apart from apologising when he has an accident -
bless him!) Has anyone else had this issue and can offer any advice to
get us fully trained? Thank you in advance
