Connection before correction: Positive discipline
Parenting multiples comes with its own set of joys and challenges — from managing sibling disagreements to building cooperation and problem-solving skills. In this relaxed, interactive session, Jo Mengaud — Twins Trust Family Support Practitioner and Certified Positive Discipline Educator — will introduce practical strategies from Dr. Jane Nelsen’s Positive Discipline framework, an approach that emphasises respect, empathy, and encouragement.
Jo will explore how to strengthen emotional connections between twins and triplets, reduce power struggles and guide children to make positive choices through a simple but powerful tool: Curiosity Questions. Participants will see how replacing “telling” with “asking” can transform everyday routines — from sharing toys to getting ready in the morning — into opportunities for children to think, co-operate and take responsibility.
