A groundbreaking research report has highlighted the huge obstacles facing families with twins or triplets, including at least a £20k financial hit compared to having two babies in succession.
As she lights a candle and a flame flickers in the darkness during Baby Loss Awareness Week (2022), twin mum Katie Harris will remember Abikara, her daughter who died in January 2021.
"I was pregnant with identical twin girls in 2019; it was our first pregnancy and we were so excited. In May, at 16 weeks however, we sadly lost both of them. We were absolutely devastated."
